Lisa Hughes is both an R.N. (Registered Nurse) and a L.M.T. (Licensed Massage Therapist).
After 23 years of nursing experience, working in areas from maternity and the cardiac step-down unit to being an O.R. nurse, Lisa has opted to continue her role as a compassionate healer in an even more "hands-on" manner.
She's been practicing massage therapy since 2006, offering a variety of modalities from relaxing spa massage to deep tissue techniques. She's completed an intensive course on massage for cancer patients.
As a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Pennsylvania, she continually updates and improves her skills. The fact that Lisa holds a state license offers you assurance of her education and moral character as required by the state.
Lisa loves what she does. It's not a job, not a career -- it's her passion. Her calling. She wants to make massage affordable so more people will be able to experience the many health benefits massage provides.
Lisa also enjoys crafty hobbies. She enjoys making stained glass, knitting, sewing, and making jewelry. She also enjoys motorcycle riding, and can be found perched on the back of her husband's Harley.
She's also the proud, doting "mom" to a pair of shar peis, Grace and Faith.
